Where did the sun go?????

Love these pictures with sun shining and a storm lurking in the distance. Was a beautiful day yesterday and I went to a pot luck lunch in Mt. Forest with fellow quilters. It was 19 degrees and amrvelous. Stopped by" new to me "fabric shop and bought a fat quarter with tea cups and a new panel just in with 24 complimentary fabrics, now come on !!! Will post when completed.
Got my 128 rectangles with 4 corner squares done, hurray,on to sewing the blocks of my king size quilt.
Raining and overcast so a good day to settle done to some serious sewing /quilting. And thinking as our president's challenge in our guild is "the message is in the medium". Glad I have a year to think this one over.
Heading to my hot tub with my coffee to welcome my day.

back on track

Well, here I am , back on track, finally. Back quilting, sewing, thinking, dreaming  and it feels so good. Working now on a king size quilt for our new bed. I am sewing 128 -31/2 by 9 in rectangles and sewing a square on each corner, boring but necessary. Made a cute Halloween table runner with  a few gals at my house on my 65th birthday. We had a ball and the outcome was great. Also been quilting rag bags and little blankets that have a horse some where on them. They are somewhere in the US, at hosre jumping shows(dressage) and hoping they are selling.
I am going thru the pictures I have taken over the last years of flowers ,trees, clouds, sunsets and hoping to get them into wallhangings that I have hoped to accomplish for a long time. I guess one knows when it is time to venture into an avenue you have thought about for a long time. And the last few years I have certainly had time to think.
Went to a wonderful quilt show in Kincardin yesterday and it was fabulous. 85 in their guild and they did an amazing job, one of the best I have attended. The friends I went with got lots of ideas if we want to put a quilt show on.

A dreary day and a good one to do a little of that boring sewing.  And maybe start my gift for our coupon capers.
